Dezember 2021 um 9.20 Uhr Ortszeit (13.20 Uhr Mitteleurop\u00e4ischer Zeit, MEZ) ist das&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlr.de\/rd\/desktopdefault.aspx\/tabid-2448\/3635_read-76154\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">James Webb Space Telescope<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 kurz JWST \u2013 vom europ\u00e4ischen Weltraumbahnhof in Kourou (Franz\u00f6sisch-Guyana) zu seiner Reise zum 1,5 Millionen Kilometer entfernten Lagrange-Punkt 2 aufgebrochen. &#8222;James Webb ist das bislang gr\u00f6\u00dfte und auch teuerste Weltraumteleskop aller Zeiten, das nun mit einer Ariane-5-Oberstufe &#8218;Made in Germany&#8216; auf seinen weiten Weg in die Tiefen des Weltraums gestartet ist. Zudem haben MIRI (<strong>M<\/strong>id&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>nfra<strong>r<\/strong>ed&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>nstrument) und NIRSpec (<strong>N<\/strong>ear&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>nfra<strong>r<\/strong>ed&nbsp;<strong>Spec<\/strong>trograph) \u2013 zwei der vier Instrumente an Bord \u2013 deutsche Anteile: Das Nahinfrarot-Instrument NIRSpec wurde von Airbus in Ottobrunn und Friedrichshafen gebaut. Mit diesem Instrument wollen Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus der ganzen Welt die &#8218;Geburtsstunden&#8216; des Universums analysieren. NIRSpec soll vor allem die Strahlung der ersten Galaxien aufsp\u00fcren, die sich kurz nach dem Urknall gebildet haben. \u201eDas James Webb-Teleskop wird damit Antworten auf bislang offene Fragen liefern und uns in die Lage versetzen, T\u00fcren zu neuen Fragen aufzusto\u00dfen&#8220;, erkl\u00e4rt Dr. Walther Pelzer, DLR-Vorstand und Leiter der&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dlr.de\/rd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deutschen Raumfahrtagentur im DLR<\/a>, die wissenschaftliche Bedeutung der Mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur steuert im Auftrag der Bundesregierung die deutschen Beitr\u00e4ge f\u00fcr die&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Europ\u00e4ische Weltraumagentur ESA<\/a>. Deutschland ist hier aktuell der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Beitragszahler, zur James-Webb-Mission steuert Deutschland rund 106,5 Millionen Euro im Rahmen der ESA bei. Hinzukommen weitere zehn Millionen Euro f\u00fcr das MIRI-Instrument aus dem so genannten Nationalen Raumfahrtprogramm. Auch DLR-Wissenschaftler hoffen auf Beobachtungszeit von JWST, um Exoplaneten zu untersuchen. \u201eMit dem neuen Teleskop lassen sich zuk\u00fcnftig Atmosph\u00e4ren um viel kleinere Planeten nachweisen, als es bisher m\u00f6glich war&#8220;, sagt Prof. Dr. Heike Rauer, Leiterin des&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlr.de\/pa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DLR-Instituts f\u00fcr Planetenforschung<\/a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlr.de\/content\/de\/artikel\/news\/2021\/04\/content\/de\/standort\/berlin.html\">Berlin-Adlershof<\/a>. &#8222;Das MIRI-Instrument ist ein gut geeignetes Werkzeug, um die Gash\u00fcllen dieser besonders kleinen Himmelsk\u00f6rper zu untersuchen.&#8220;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 25.
