Kompetente Hilfe f\u00fcr ratsuchende Eltern sowie fachliche Beratung f\u00fcr Rettungskr\u00e4fte und \u00c4rzt*innen bei ungew\u00f6hnlichen oder schweren Vergiftungen geh\u00f6ren zu den Aufgaben des Giftinformationszentrums-Nord (GIZ-Nord) an der Universit\u00e4tsmedizin G\u00f6ttingen (UMG). Insgesamt 49.970 Anfragen zu Vergiftungen beantwortete das Beratungsteam des GIZ-Nord im Jahr 2021. Das sind rund sechs Prozent mehr als im Vorjahr und neuer H\u00f6chststand bei den Anfragen seit Bestehen des GIZ-Nord. Der 24-Stunden-Service wurde 2021 erneut vermehrt von medizinischem Fachpersonal in Anspruch genommen. \u201eDie steigende Zahl von Anfragen zeigt, wie gro\u00df der Bedarf an qualifizierter Beratung im Vergiftungsnotfall ist. Die Resonanz belegt zudem, wie gut das GIZ in der Bev\u00f6lkerung und bei den \u00c4rztinnen und \u00c4rzten bekannt und akzeptiert ist&#8220;, betonen <strong>Dr. Martin Ebbecke und Prof. Dr. Andreas Schaper<\/strong>. Beide leiten das GIZ-Nord seit 2015 gemeinsam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das GIZ-Nord ist zust\u00e4ndig f\u00fcr die Bundesl\u00e4nder Niedersachsen, Bremen, Hamburg und Schleswig-Holstein. In seinem Jahresbericht f\u00fcr das Jahr 2021 analysiert das GIZ-Nord detailliert die Vergiftungsursachen, die Altersgruppen der Betroffenen und die Schwere der Vergiftungen. Oft sind es Dinge aus dem t\u00e4glichen Umfeld, die besonders f\u00fcr Kinder gef\u00e4hrlich werden k\u00f6nnen. Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Vergiftungsgefahr geht in dieser Altersgruppe von Haushaltschemikalien und Arzneimitteln aus. Bei Erwachsenen \u00fcberwiegen Vergiftungen mit Medikamenten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vergiftungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen Ein besonderes Augenmerk galt im vergangenen Jahr den Vergiftungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen: Besonders im zweiten Jahr der COVID-19-Pandemie beobachtete das GIZ-Nord einen deutlichen Anstieg von selbstsch\u00e4digendem Verhalten in diesen Altersgruppen. Zur weiteren Kl\u00e4rung dieses Ph\u00e4nomens gibt es bereits erste wissenschaftliche Aktivit\u00e4ten des GIZ-Nord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Hauptaufgabe des GIZ-Nord ist die Beratung im akuten Vergiftungsfall. Mit dem Jahresbericht und der Erstellung detaillierter Spezialanalysen kommt das GIZ-Nord einer seiner anderen zentralen Aufgaben nach: Es berichtet den \u00dcberwachungsbeh\u00f6rden und der Fach\u00f6ffentlichkeit \u00fcber das aktuelle Vergiftungsgeschehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weitere Informationen, die aktuellen und die bisherigen Jahresberichte sowie verschiedene Warnmeldungen \u00fcber aktuelle Vergiftungsgefahren sind abrufbar \u00fcber die Internetseite: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.giz-nord.de\"><strong>www.giz-nord.de<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die meisten Anfragen erreichen das GIZ-Nord \u00fcber die <strong>Notrufnummer 0551 \/ 19240<\/strong>.
