Heute Abend, Montag den 09.09.2024, findet im Literaturhaus G\u00f6ttingen (Nikolaistra\u00dfe 22) um 19:00 Uhr eine Buchlesung und Diskussion mit Nicholas Potter statt.
Potter liest aus seinem aktuellen Buch „Judenhass Underground – Antisemitismus in emanzipatorischen Subkulturen und Bewegungen“.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diese Lesung findet im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe „Let’s talk about … Antisemitismus“ statt, die vom 09.09. bis zum 30.09.2024 l\u00e4uft. Diese ist Teil der „Partnerschaft f\u00fcr Demokratie in der Stadt G\u00f6ttingen“. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicholas Potter lebt in Berlin, ist deutsch-britischer Journalist und Redakteur bei der taz. 
F\u00fcr seine Recherche zu Antisemitismus in der Klimabewegung ist er 2024 f\u00fcr den Theodor-Wolff-Preis nominiert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In seinem aktuellen Buch „Judenhass Underground“ geht er aktuellen antisemitischen Einstellungen und Vorf\u00e4llen in verschiedenen Subkulturen und Bewegungen nach, in Milieus also, die nach au\u00dfen und innen eigentlich ein progressives und emanzipatorisches Selbstbild pflegen. Doch Judenhass macht sich auch dort immer mehr breit: ob Rapper gegen Rothschilds, DJs for Palestine oder Punks Against Apartheid, BDS, die Boykottkampagne gegen den j\u00fcdischen Staat, will nahezu jedes Anliegen kapern, von Klassenkampf bis Klimagerechtigkeit. Altbekannte Mythen tauchen in alternativer Form wieder auf, bei Pride-Demos, auf der documenta oder beim Gedenken an den rassistischen Terror von Hanau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Veranstaltung im Literaturhaus will auf diese Gefahren des Antisemitismus aufmerksam machen, die unsere offene Gesellschaft untergraben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Anschluss an die Lesung wird Nicholas Potter dem Publikum f\u00fcr Fragen und Diskussionen zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
